‘Selfie Bebo’ Death: Police put up ‘latka’ at in-laws’ house in Balangir

Sambalpur: Expediting its action against the accused in ‘Selfie Bebo’ fame Sambalpuri actress Simran Singh’s mysterious death case, the Burla Police today put up a ‘latka’ (proclamation notice) at the house of his in-laws in Belpara of Balangir district.

The deceased actress’ disregard to the notice for deposition for questioning compelled us to take the step, informed Police.

In addition to the ‘latka’ the Burla Police also issued a notice to Yug Suna, husband of Simran, to appear before it for quizzing.

Notably, on January 12, Burla Police had issued a notice to the deceased actress’ in-laws and told them to make an appearance for interrogation on January 16. However, the in-laws are still on run.

Simran Singh, who had acted in a number of Sambalpuri music albums and rose to the fame after being featured in ‘Selfie Bebo’ song, was found dead under a bridge of Mahanadi river near Goira Matha under Burla police limits in Sambalpur on January 3.

While, the autopsy report revealed the cause of the actress’ death as head injury her father claimed it to be a case of murder. He also filed a case against Simran’s in-laws alleging that they used to torture her and for which she was staying with him since December 7.
