Bhubaneswar: The selection camp for the Indian Archery Team was inaugurated at KIIT University campus here on Monday.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS, inaugurated the camp in which as many as 150 participants – 80 boys and 70 girls – from 32 Universities, besides coaches, managers and officials of the teams took part.
The selected Indian University Archery Team will represent the country at the World University Games scheduled to be held at Taipei from 20th August to 27th August, 2017.
Dr. Sasmitarani Samanta, Registrar, KIIT University; R. N. Singh, Result In-Charge and Chief Coach, Archery Association of India; L. N Murty, Championship Director & Director Shooting, Archery Association of India, Dr. Gaganendu Dash, Director Sports, KIIT University and others were present during the inaugural ceremony of the selection camp.
