Deogarh: A security guard has allegedly committed suicide in Deogarh district of Odisha. The deceased has been identified as Saroj Meher(22), son of Satya Meher.
Saroj was working as a security guard at Deogarh Covid hospital and later was deployed at local reserve police station. His parents and younger brother works for an organization in Cuttack.
Reportedly, Saroj asked his parents to come to visit him in Deogarh on Monday morning and also warned that if they do not visit him, he might consume poison.
However as he did not receive any information regarding his parents arrival, he allegedly consumed poison. Thereafter, his neighbours rushed him to a local hospital for treatment.
Later this morning he was pronounced death by the doctors, informed his family members.
On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.
