Second Brahamani Bridge at Rourkela to be operational by June end

Rourkela: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Mahapatra on Saturday spelt out a timeline for the second Brahamani bridge to become operational during his visit to Rourkela today. The CS said that while one side of the bridge will be ready to use by May end, all the six lanes will be operational by June end this year.

After his field visit today speaking to media Mahapatra said that construction work of the second bridge on the River Brahamani in Rourkela is in the last leg. For the convenience of public one side of the bridge will be made operational by this month end. However, by June end all the six lanes of the bridge will be operational by June end.

After this bridge will be operational traffic congestion in Rourkela will be solved to a great extent. The heavy vehicles will not be needed to move via the bypass and thus pollution will be lessened.
