Schools To Remain Closed For Two Days In Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara For Cyclone Bulbul

Bhubaneswar: District administrations in Puri, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapara today ordered for closure of all schools and Anganwadi Centres for two days from tomorrow in view of cyclone Bulbul.

Officials said that the order was issued as a precautionary measure in view of India Meteorological Department’s (IMD’s) forecast of rain in these districts due to the cyclone.

Besides the district administration of these three districts have also have cancelled holidays of all government employees to tackle any emergency situation.

Earlier the IMD bulletin said that districts like Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak and Kendrapada would receive rains from 8 Nov, whereas Cuttack, Jajpur and Mayurbhanj will see rainfall on Nov 9-10.
