Sambalpur: Kuchinda police today arrested a 50-year-old high school teacher for allegedly raping a 17-year-old college girl in a forest on July 11.
Police said that though the incident took place on July 11, the victim lodged a police complaint on Tuesday.
Police said that the accused has been identified as Pramod Kharsel, a mathematics teacher of Bauriguda High School under Kuchinda sub-division.
Police said that the accused made short films and took the victim with him on the pretext of the shooting of a short film. Later the accused took the victim to a lonely place in the forest and raped her.
