School reopening in Odisha: Class timing fixed, check details

Bhubaneswar: A day after the Odisha government announced the reopening of the schools and colleges across the State, the School and Mass Education Department has fixed timing for various classes for the time being.

According to the department, the teaching hours are fixed from 10 AM to 4 PM for students reading from Class-IX to XII in all Educational Institutions under School & Mass Education (S&ME) Department.

Likewise, for the students reading from Class-I to VIII, the teaching hours are from 9 AM to 1 PM. As per the instructions of the Department, dry ration under MDM program will continue to be supplied to the eligible students until further orders.


Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Thursday informed that the physical classes of students from class 8 to above will reopen from February 7 across the State. Similarly, the schools for the physical class of the students from KG to class 7 will reopen from February 14.
