Bhubaneswar: The new Commissioner of Police of Twin City Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, Satyajit Mohanty will assume charge tomorrow (Friday).
According to official sources, Mohanty, a 1988 batch IPS officer will take charge at 11.30 AM.
Mohanty, who was earlier in charge of Provisioning, will replace Y B Khurania, who has been transferred as ADG Provisioning.
He will be the sixth Police Commissioner of the Twin City.
The Commissionerate police system was launched in the twin cities in 2008. Now it has 22 police stations in Bhubaneswar as against 16 then. Cuttack has 21 police stations.
