New Delhi: BJP’s national spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra has been appointed non-official director of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Board.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved his appointment to the post for a period of 3 years.
Earlier, BJP leader Syed Zafar Islam was appointed as non-official independent director of Air India. Shazia Ilmi, former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, was also appointed as independent director in Engineers India Ltd (EIL) .
Similarly, BJP leader from Gujarat, Asifa Khan was made non-official independent director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL).
