Sambalpur: Parmanpur RI in Vigilance net
Sambalpur: Tightening the noose around the neck of corrupt officials Odisha Vigilance on Thursday apprehended the Revenue Inspector of Parmanpur under Sason Police limits in Sambalpur district of Odisha while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 15,000 from a complainant.
The said Revenue Inspector has been identified as Bhikari Charan Kusum.
As per reports, the Vigilance sleuths apprehended Kusum when he was demanding and accepting Rs 15,000 from a complainant in order to process his file for issuance of Record of Rights (RoR) in the name of his father.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from Kusum and seized.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. Case No.37 dt.17.11.2021 U/s 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
In another case earlier today another Revenue Inspector was also nabbed by the Vigilance sleuths while she was demanding and accepting undue favour from a complainant. The Revenue Inspector (RI) of Dudhari R.I Circle under Semliguda Tahasil, of Koraput district was apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.10,000/-
According to the allegations of the complainant she had taken the bribe for submission of report under rehabilitation assistance scheme of the Government and to complete it required for the appointment due to death of his Mother while in service. The entire bribe money has been recovered from Swain and seized.
