Phulbani: Accompanied by several senior BJD leaders and thousands of supporters, founder of KIIT & KISS and BJD leader Achutya Samanta filed his nomination papers from Kandhamal Lok Sabha Constituency on Monday.
Samanta filled his nomination with Kandhamal district Collector and Returning Officer Brunda D.
Later taking to his Twitter handle, Samanta said, “Today, I filed my nomination for #Kandhamal Lok Sabha Constituency. I would like to express my deep thanks to Shri @NaveenPatnaik ji, Hon’ble CM of #Odisha for reposing his faith on me.”
“Love and trust from the people of #Kandhamal are my assets. With your continued support and affection, I will be at your service with all my capacities and capabilities,” he added.
Meanwhile, #SamantaForKandhamal hashtag has started trending on Twitter, which means people, especially Twitter users, are discussing Samanta’s candidature.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the general elections in Kandhamal district will be held on April 18, the second phase of four phases polling in Odisha.
