KalingaTvBhubaneswar: Pulling of chariot of Lord Lingaraj on the occasion of annual Rukuna Rath Yatra was stopped midway after the rope of chariot broke thrice here on Saturday.
The Chariot has been stationed near Mukteswar temple in the city. The chariot pulling will be resumed tomorrow at 2 PM on wards, Temple administration informed .
The pulling of the chariot was reportedly delayed around one hour from the scheduled time, though the traditional Pahandi and other rituals were completed on time.
Earlier on the day, thousands of devotees thronged to the temple city to pull the chariot on the auspicious day of Ashokastami.
