Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police forcibly picked up the mother of the deceased BJB College Plus Three-student Ruchika Mohanty staging protest in front of the college.
Reportedly. several others have also been picked up by the police those who were staging dharna in front of the BJB College.
Ruchika’s mother had warned to observe her 10th-day death rituals at the spot today, added reports.
Notably, Ruchika’s family has been staging protests in front of BJB college. However, no developments have been reported about the three accused seniors yet. More than 40 students of +3 first year were questioned by the police and counsellors.
The Additional DCP informed that the 3 accused seniors have not yet been identified. Ruchika’s parents have been taken to the designated dharna place near the Lower PMG area, he added.
Meanwhile, Students gheraoed the Badagada police station, alleging that the educational environment was being destroyed. They have demanded the punishment of the accused culprits mentioning that the issue should not be resolved politically.
The students have also demanded the arrest of those who have been politically defaming the college amid this sensitive death case.
