RTOs In Odisha To Remain Open for Two Days During Durga Puja For Registration Of New Vehicles

Bhubaneswar: The state transport department has decided to keep open the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) for two days during Durga Puja holidays for allotment of registration numbers of vehicles purchased during the festival.

As per the notification by the State Transport Authority (STA) the RTOs will remain open on October 5 and 7 from 3 PM to 5. STA authorities, however, said that other services including driving licence and learning licence will not be available between October 5 and October 8 for puja holidays.

“All RTOs are instructed to check the dealer premises and ensure that no vehicle is delivered without registration. In case the dealer is delivering the vehicles without registration, then steps shall be taken for cancellation or suspension of the trade license of the dealer,” the order said.
