Rs 2.65 lakh old age pensions looted from PEO Rourkela: In yet another broad daylight robbery, bike-borne miscreants looted Rs 2.65 lakh from a Panchayat Extension Officer (PEO) meant for old age pensions at gun point near Andhari panchayat under Biramitrapur police limits on Sunday.

According to reports, two masked bike-borne miscreants apprehended Mickhail Logoon, who was in charge of Andhari and Kandobahal panchayats, at Dhangrinacha square and looted Rs 2.65 lakh at gun point. The robbers soon fled from the spot.

Logoon was on his way to distribute the money to the beneficiaries.

On being informed, Biramitrapur Police has started investigation in to the robbery.
