Bhadrak: Tightening the noose around the necks of the corrupt officials in the district, Vigilance sleuths today raided the house and office of an MVI for allegedly possessing properties disproportionate to his known source of income.
The accused official has been identified as Shankar Narayan Choudhury, Junior MVI of Bhadrak RTO.
Acting upon the allegations against Choudhury, a team of Vigilance officials from Cuttack started with his Charampa rented house and later conducted simultaneous raids at five more places including his office.
During the raid, the anti-corruption with officials seized a number of important documents but had not disclosed about it as the process is underway.
