Balangir: A retired police officer, identified as Bishnu Prasad Padhi, was attacked and robbed off here in Odisha on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, at least three miscreants attacked Padhi during his morning walk and looted mobile phone and some amount of cash from him near the RTO Chhak in the town.
Padhi sustained severe injury in his head due to the attack. He was rushed to the Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital for the treatment.
Meanwhile Balangir Police registered a case in this connection and began investigation.
