Red posters urging people to observe Maoist ‘foundation week’ surface in Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: With the CPI (Maoist) ‘foundation week’ observance is underway in the state, Red-posters giving a call to people to make it all success surfaced in Jodanga area under Raighar block of Nabarangpur district this morning.

The posters released in the name of Menpur Division of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) group were seen put up on walls and trees located adjacent to Jodanga Ashram premises by some locals who called up police and informed later.

In their posters the Red rebels have sharply criticised police atrocities and denial of rights to the tribal people. They have also criticised the democratically elected government.

Police have stepped up combing operation in the district following the surfacing of the posters to keep any kind of Red violence at bay during the ‘foundation week’ observance from September 21 to 27).

Notably, on September 17, Maoists put up posters on a number of trains under Chakradharpur Railway Division and urged people to observe the ‘foundation week’ with much vigour.
