Jharaphula Death Case: Mystery Solved, Was Killed For Mere Rs 30K

Jajpur: Mystery has been solved in the sensational death case of the Rama Devi University student Jharaphula Nayak, she was killed for Rs 30,000, informs Jajpur SP Rahul P.R.

Jharphula was killed for Rs 30,000 by the main accused Rakesh Swain.

Rakesh Swain had taken 30k from Jharphula to purchase a bike. When Jharaphula asked him to return back the money, he denied to return back the money, She warned Rakesh if he does not return back the money, then she would reveal everyone that he has taken money from her, informs Jajpur SP.

We have arrested three accused involved in the murder, We will bring them on remand and interrogate them. We will also file a chargesheet against the accused, informs Jajpur SP.

Later, Rakesh planned to kill Jharaphula along with his friends. He took Jharaphula to a private guest house in Dharma Vihar under Khandagiri police limits in Bhubaneswar on January 26 and killed her.

During interrogation, the prime accused Rakesh had confessed to the crime of killing her following a heated argument. The accused has also confessed to choking the girl to death.

Earlier, on April 11, his friend Amaresh Rout who was accused in the conspiracy of the murder was arrested by the Jajpur police in Bhubaneswar.

The third accused Shakti Swain was also arrested yesterday by the Jajpur Police. He had allegedly helped prime accused Rakesh Swain in dumping Jharaphula’s body, which was found on a roadside at Mulapala under Kuakhia police limits in Jajpur district on January 26.
