Rayagada: Vigilance sleuths raided the residence of a primary school teacher in the district on Saturday after Disproportionate Assets (DA) allegations cropped up against him.
The accused teacher has been identified as Gadadhar Sahoo of Taralabadi Primary School.
A five-member Vigilance team conducted the raid at the Raniguda residence of Sahoo this morning and seized DA worth Rs 1 Cr from the spot. The anti-corruption bureau officials also checked various important documents including bank and post office passbooks and insurance policies during the search.
The raid was underway till the filling of this report.
