Rath Yatra 2022: Mask mandatory for devotees, Odisha govt to distribute over 10 lakhs of masks

 Bhubaneswar: Odsha government has made it mandatory for all the devotees to wear masks while taking part in the forthcoming Rath Yatra 2022.

The Health and Family Welfare Department, has requested the devotees who are having COVID symptoms not to attend the annual car festival. It has also appealed to the people, who are going to be part of the annual celebration, to wear facemasks mandatorily.

Health Minister Naba Kishore Das informed that the department has decided to distribute over 10 lakhs of masks among the devotees during the Rath Yatra, which is slated to be held on July 1.

He also informed that ICU beds are also kept ready at Puri hospital for treatment of devotees who would fall sick while attending the Rath Yatra.
