Rath Yatra 2019: Chariots of holy trinity parked before Singha Dwara of Srimandir

Puri: With the devotees anxiously waiting for the annual Rath Yatra of the holy trinity to be held at Srimandir tomorrow, the towering chariots of Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath and Devi Subhadra were pulled from Ratha Khala and parked in front of Singha Dwara of the temple today.

Ahead of the parking process specially authorised servitors known as Pujapanda Samanta performed the customary ‘Agyan Mala’ rituals atop Taladhwaja, Debadalana and Nandighosha chariots.

With all preparations reaching the final phase for the annual sojurn of the deities, the servitors at the temple are busy in giving it a final touch. They are leaving no stone unturned in making the festival happen in a hassle free manner.

Earlier, the temple administration has already released a schedule for the conduct of the Rath Yatra tomorrow. As per the schedule Mangala Alati at the temple will be held at 5 AM followed by Abakasha Niti (7AM), Sakala Dhupa (between 8AM-9AM), Ratha Pratistha (9AM), Pahandi (between 9.30AM-12.30 PM), Chhera Pahanra (between 2PM-3PM), Sarathi ritual (between 3PM-4PM) and Ratha Tana (4PM).
