Rare Dance By A Pair Of Snakes In Odisha On Shivaratri, Bhakts Rejoice

Jajpur: The auspicious occasion of Shivaratri has been celebrated in the Mahavinayak Temple in Jajpur district of Odisha peacefully sans devotees keeping in mid the strict Covid restrictions.

All the rituals of Maha Shivaratri were carried out by the temple administration, sevayats and the workers of the temple. The Mahadeepa was raised atop the temple at 11:09 pm.

Section 144 had been enforced in and around the temple premises.

On this auspicious occasion, what amazed bhakts was the dance by a pair of snakes which is considered to be rare and holy as per Hindu traditions.

This dance continued for a long time much to the amusement and happiness of the locals.
