Rare Congenital Skyline Anomaly Surgery at Mancheswar Railway Hospital

Bhubaneswar: A very rare surgery for Congenital Anomaly was conducted at East Coast Railway Central (ECoR) Hospital here successfully.

Railway Doctors headed by Additional Chief Health Director (Surgeon) Dr. J. Jena, Consultant Dr. Debasish Mishra, Consultant Dr. Samanyu Tripathy and Dr. Sk. Sirajuddin, Additional Chief Health Director (Anesthesia) conducted this rare operation by releasing the Pevoneal nerve and cortical osteotomy illizarov of the right leg of a 24-year-old girl who was unable to walk because of the skyline deformity on her right leg.

The Rare Congenital Skyline Anomaly Surgery is basically conducted at Medical Colleges and at Corporate Hospitals.

Principal Chief Medical Director of ECoR Dr. S. K. Mohanty and Medical Director of ECoR Central Hospital Dr. Arundhati Senapati congratulated the team of Doctors for the successful operation.

Many leading Hospitals of Bhubaneswar had expressed inability to do this operation as it was a rare surgical procedure, claimed the ECoR.
