Ranjib Biswal appointed Congress national spokesperson

New Delhi: All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi appointed Congress MP from Odisha Ranjib Biswal as national spokesperson of the party. This was informed by the Randeep Singh Surjewla, in-charge, Communication, AICC, in a press release on Thursday.

“Congress president Shri Rahul Gandhi has approved the appointment of Shri Ranjib Biswal, MP as spokesperson of Indian National Congress,” said the press release.

“Congress President has also approved the appointment of Shri Shailendra as National Media Coordinator and re-designation of Shri Rachit Seth as National Media Coordination,” added the press release.

Born on September 21, 1970, Ranjib Biswal is a former Indian cricketer and the former Chairman of Indian Premier League. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Odisha by Congress in April 2014.
