Rajdhani Express catches fire before reaching Rourkela Station, passengers safe

Rourkela: Another major railway mishap was averted in the State today after New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express caught fire near Tilkanagar, ahead of reaching Rourkela Station.

“Smokes started billowing out of the D-7 coach of the Express due to a short circuit resulting out of brake binding. However, the officials immediately swung into action and launched firefighting efforts after shifting the commuters from the affected coach to other coaches,” informed Sanjay Ghosh, Chief PRO, South-Eastern Railway.
