Bhubaneswar: The regional Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here today predicted that light to moderate rain/thunderstorms with lightning are likely to lash five districts of Odisha today.
Light to moderate rain/thunderstorms with lightning is likely to continue over some parts of the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur during the next three hours, said the weather department.
The India Meteorological Department also advised the people of the above-mentioned districts to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strike.
On the other hand, 14 places recorded temperatures above 40 degree Celsius with Sonepur turning out to be the hottest at 43 degree Celsius.
