Rain, thundershower alert to these districts of Odisha within next 3 hours

Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Thursday predicted light to moderate thundershower with lightning in three districts of Odisha.

There will be moderate rain and thundershowers in some parts of Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore within next three hours.

People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike.

Earlier the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had warned of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms activity over Odisha till January 14.

“Under the influence of mid and upper tropospheric westerlies and interaction with low level easterlies and also moisture incursion from Bay of Bengal, light to moderate rainfall activity is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha till January 14.” said IMD.
