Rain, thundershower alert to these districts of Odisha within next 3 hours

Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Sunday predicted a light to moderate thundershower with lightning in 10 districts of Odisha.

There will be moderate rain and thundershowers in some parts of Puri, Kendrapara, Jagatsingpur, Cuttack (including Cuttack ), Khorda(including Bhubaneswar ), Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Jajpur and Dhenkanal during next three hours.

People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from the lightning strike.

It is pertinent to mention that a Low-Pressure Area is likely to form over north Odisha and its neighbourhood in the next 24 hours, informed Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

The weather department has also informed that the cyclonic circulation has lied over Bangladesh and its neighbourhood extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height. A warning has also been issued for heavy rainfall in the State till July 7.
