Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Wednesday predicted a light to moderate thundershower with lightning in nine districts of Odisha including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
There will be moderate rain and thundershowers in some parts of Ganjam, Kandhamal, Khurda ( including Bhubaneswar ), Cuttack (including Cuttack ), Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Keonjhar, and Nayagarh during next three hours.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
The weather department has issued an Orange warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall across different districts of Odisha from July 14 to July 16. As many as 16 districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall today. A yellow warning has been issued to Balangir, Nuapada, Baragarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Sonepur, Boudh, and Deogarh.
