Raimohan Parida died of asphyxiation, says postmortem report

Bhubaneswar: Post-mortem report of actor Raimohan Parida, who was found hanging in his home, revealed that the actor died of asphyxiation due to hanging.

As per reports, Parida’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his residence at Prachi Vihar under Mancheswar police on Friday morning.

Though the reason behind his suicide is yet to be ascertained, police has started an investigation into the incident.

Parida, born on 10 July 1963 is a Odia film actor who is well known for his negative roles.

Raimohan Parida started his career in Odia film through ‘Sagar’. Besides he has more than 100 films including many hit Odia films to his credit including ‘Bandhana’, ‘Asibu Kebe Saji Mo Rani’, ‘Tu Thile Mo Dara Kahaku’, ‘Neija Re Megha Mote’, ‘Chhati Chiridele Tu’, ‘ Kalishankar’, ‘Toh Bina Mo Kahani Adha’, ‘Toh Pain Nebi Mu Sahe Janama’, ‘ De Maa Shakti De’, ‘Rakate Lekhichi Naa’, ‘Mo Mana Khali Tumari Pain’, ‘Udandi Seeta’. He has also acted in many TV serials. He was also associated to the theatre world. Parida had won heart of Odia audience for his powerful acting and dialogue delivery.

Raimohan has also acted in more than 15 Bengali films.

Besides Odia films and TV serials Raimohan is one of the top most Jatra actor of Odisha. He was a famous villain in Odia Jatra world. While many of his Jatras are very much popular, he is best known for his dialogue ‘Hei Anani’ (Swearing with the name of mother).

Parida is a recipient of Odisha State Film Award. He has also got Abhinandia puraskar.
