Railway Programmes In Odisha Cancelled For Death Of Arun Jaitley

Bhubaneswar: Ministry of Railways has cancelled its official programmes scheduled today in Odisha following the demise of former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

“Programme at Junagarh Road will be conducted without any speech or celebrations. Only the train will leave from Junagarh Road as per schedule without any inauguration ceremony. This is because the Train schedule has already been announced and people have booked their tickets. There will be no official celebrations. The programme of the issue of the unreserved ticket in Odia language is postponed and it will be conducted at a later date,” said a release of the East Coast Railway (ECoR).

Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Steel Dharmendra Pradhan was scheduled to flag off of the individual running of Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road-Bhubaneswar Express from East Coast Railway headquarters here on Saturday through video conferencing.
