Puri: In a crackdown on corrupt officials in the district, Vigilance sleuths arrested Puri PWD Executive Engineer Niraj Kumar Dash and seized unaccounted money worth Rs 3.28 lakh from his possession after conducting a raid on his car at Pipili toll gate last evening.
A separate team of Puri Vigilance officials also raided Dash’s government quarter at CRPF Square on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known source of income.
Source said, Dash is currently being quizzed by the Vigilance as it is planning to raid to more houses owned by him, one each at Uttara Chhak and Old Town in Bhubaneswar soon.
