Pushpa or Pushpa Raj rule is same for all, STA warns helmet violators in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday issued a strict warning to the helmet violators of State. All those who will violate the compulsory helmet-wearing guideline will face heavy penalties.

Reportedly, the State Transport Authority (STA) took to its official Twitter handle and used a click of the recent blockbuster movie Pushpa-The Rise, starring superstar Allu Arjun, to convey the message. “Always wear a helmet while riding a bike. Else, not only you will pay fine but also you will endanger your life,” wrote STA.

The picture features Allu Arjun in a tough look sitting on a bike without a helmet. The STA issued the warning that no matter whether Pushpa or Pushparaj, anyone riding bikes must wear helmets else heavy penalty has to be paid.

“Pushpa Ho Yah Pushparaj, Bina Helmet Ka Challan Sabka Katega,” read the message of STA.

According to Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019, riding without helmets by both rider and pillion rider will attract a penalty of Rs 1000 for first and also the subsequent violations apart from disqualification of license for up to 90 days.
