Puri: In today’s development regarding the murder of former member of Puri Jagannath temple managing committee, Krushna Chandra Pratihari, four teams of police have been formed for further investigation.
Reportedly, the four teams have been carrying out raids at several places to ascertain more details in relation to Pratihari’s murder.
During the post mortem procedure, two bullets were removed from Pratihari’s head. He was hit by bullets on his head from behind, added reports.
Notably, Pratihari shot dead by some unidentified miscreants near the Barabati area on Wednesday. An eyewitness has stated that two miscreants came on a motorcycle and shot two rounds of bullets on Pratihari following which they fled from the spot.
Pratihari was also senior servitor, and secretary of the Suara Mahasuara Nijog.
From the preliminary investigation, it is being suspected that Pratihari has been shot dead over some past enmity. The actual cause behind the murder and the identities are yet to be ascertained.
