Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday reiterated that Pulwama martyrs’ sacrifice will not go in vain.
“The Nation will never forget the sacrifice of freedom fighters like Gopabandhu Das, Buxi Jagadbandhu, Veer Surendra Sai and Madhusudan Das who were martyred on Sept 28, 1942,” said Singh after paying tributes to the martyrs of Iram in Bhadrak during his visit to the district.
Speaking about the Pulwama terror attack in which 42 CRPF jawans were killed on February 14, the Union Home Minister said the armed forces have been given a free hand to deal with the perpetrators of the crime.
Paying tributes to two CRPF jawans from the state who were among the 42 martyred- Prasanna Sahu and Manoj Kumar Behera- he said their sacrifice will not go in vain.
