Protesters vandalise vehicle of District Collector in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj: Watch

Mayurbhanj: The protesters of a road blockade reportedly vandalised the vehicle of the District Collector in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha today during a ‘rastarok’ on NH 18 under Kuliana Police limits near Sauri village.

As per reports, some people had staged road blockade demanding shifting of the Panchayat office. After getting information about the ‘Rastarok’, Police personnel rushed to the spot and tried to clear the blockade by discussing with the protesters.

However, at about 2 pm on Saturday when the police personnel were discussing with the protesters, Mayurbhanj district Collector was going somewhere in his official vehicle along the same way. The protesters allegedly tried to stop the vehicle. Also, some of them allegedly pelted stone at the vehicle. As a result, the rear glass shield of the vehicle got damaged.

Following the incident, Police took action to disperse the mob and the road blockade was cleared.
