Bhubaneswar: Prohibitory orders under Section 144 will be imposed in the Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar tonight to avoid large congregation on New Year eve. This was informed by Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi.
Sarangi, while addressing the media person, informed that the prohibitory order will be in force from 9 PM today in the cities to avoid large congregation.
As many as 40 platoons of police forces will be deployed at different places of the Twin Cities, he added.
The Police Commissioner also requested the residents of the twin cities not to organize any party in their apartments and residential areas.
Earlier today, the State government imposed the night curfew from 10 PM of tonight to 5 AM tomorrow morning across Odisha.
