Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal appointed Prof. Bansidhar Majhi as the Vice-Chancellor of Burla-based Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) on Monday.
The Odisha Governor has appointed Majhi as the Vice-Chancellor of VSSUT for the next three years.
Presently, Prof. Bansidhar Majhi is working as Director of the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) at Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu.
In his 26 careers of teaching, as many as 17 Ph.D. scholars and 8 MS (research) students were guided by him. Besides, more than 150 M. Tech. students also completed their theses under his guidance.
Moreover, Prof. Bansidhar has 80 research publications in peer-reviewed journals and more than 150 publications in conferences of repute.
The Odisha Government has conferred on him with the ‘Samanta Chandra Sekhar Award’ in 2016.
