Private Schools In Odisha Give Extension For Payment Of Fees Amid Covid-19 Crisis

Bhubaneswar: The crisis of Covid-19 is being fought in an united manner by everyone.  After the appeal of CM Naveen Patnaik, the  AOPSA (All Odisha Private School Association) has decided to extend the dates for paying school fees.

The Association decided to take this step as there may be a problem in the salary of the parents or there might be financial crisis due to business being shut down.  A  press release has been circulated in this regard.

The parents have an option to deposit school fees for 3 months i.e. April, May and June, without any fine or extra charges by the end of June.

The Association added that the waiver of fees of private schools is not possible as they (school authorities) themselves  are under extreme pressure to bear monthly salaries of employees.

This move came after the CM had appealed to the private educational institutions to reduce or waive off the fees as the parents are under great financial burden during the Covid-19 crisis.
