Prisoners Stage Demonstration In Odisha Jail Demanding Permission To Consume Ganja

Bargarh: Hundreds of prisoners lodged at Bargarh Sub-jail were forced to starve on Wednesday after a dozen of inmates staged a demonstration demanding to consume ganja in the jail.

As per reports, around a dozen of hardcore criminals lodged at the jail staged a hunger strike demanding the jail authorities to allow them for smoking weed and consume tobacco inside the prison. They also demanded for mobile phone facility for them and permission to meet their families as per their convenience.

The agitating criminals also disrupted the kitchen operation for which other inmates were deprived of their breakfast and lunch. Around 250 prisoners are currently lodged at the jail.
