Prime Minister’s Odisha visit schedule of December 24

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister will visit Odisha on December 24. This is his third visit to the state this year. Seven Union ministers will come along him on this trip. On this occasion, he will inaugurate different projects to the tune of approximately Rs 15,000 crore.

As per the schedule, PM will land at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 1.05 pm on December 24. From there, he will leave for the new campus of IIT-Bhubaneswar at Aragul by road at 1.40 pm. Later he will lay foundation stones of several projects and dedicate other projects through video conferencing between 1.40 pm and 2.20 pm.

PM will reach NISER (National Institute of Science Education and Research) stadium at 2.30 pm to address a public meeting. He will leave the stadium at 3.15 pm and arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport and leave for New Delhi at 4 pm.

PM is supposed to dedicate these projects via video conferencing at IIT-Bhubaneswar:

  • A postage stamp and a commemorative coin of Rs 200 featuring the Paika Rebellion (1817) against British rule on the occasion of its bicentenary celebration.
  • The Chair at Utkal University in memory of the Paika Rebellion.
  • The new campus of IIT-Bhubaneswar at Aragul built at a cost of Rs 1660 crore

The PM will lay the foundation of a permanent campus of Indian Institute of Science and Education Research (IISER) in Berhampur.

He will also lay the foundation of a gas pipeline from Paradip to Hyderabad at a projected cost of Rs 3800 crore and another pipeline from Angul to Bokaro in Jharkhand at a projected cost of Rs 3437 crore under Urja Ganja Yojana.

He will also inaugurate the new 50-bedded ward of the ESI Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
