Bhubaneswar: Police today arrested two persons in connection with the Sarakantara murder case on November 7.
Anil Jena (26) was killed while his father Abhimanyu was injured after being shot at in Sarkantara area under Khandagiri police limits. The family members of the victims had alleged that they were shot at fore opposing brown sugar trade in the area by a group of miscreants.
Police said that both Bharat Sahu (29) and Durga Prasad Sahu (26) were the mastermind of the crime.
“Both of them had fled to Rayagada and were staying in a rented accommodation there. We have also seized the country made pistol used in the crime. Earlier we have also arrested three other accused involved in the murder. We are also trying to nab another accused in the case,” said deputy commissioner of police, Anup Kumar Sahoo.
