Bhubaneswar: In a success to Commissionerate Police, it arrested the main accused involved in killing a security guard in Pahala area on Bhubaneswar outskirts last Thursday.
The held accused has been identified as Dibakar Bhuyan alias Babuna. He was at large since the incident.
A team of Commissionerate Police nabbed Babuna from his hideout in the city after getting a tip-off on is whereabouts. Three to four more people were also detained on suspicion over their involvement in the case.
Notably, the victim security guard namely, Gadadhar Swain was found in a pool of blood inside a building located next to the marble company where he worked, in Pahala area on the outskirts of the city.
The victim’s throat was found slit with a sharp weapon which was also recovered from the spot by police.
Irate locals blocked NH-5 protesting the killing, on the day of the incident and demanded immediate arrest of the accused involved in the case.
