President’s visit to Puri: Chhatisa Nijoga meeting to be held today

Puri: The Chhatisa Nijog meeting in connection with President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Puri Srimandir will be held today at 3.30 pm.

Reportedly, the meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Krishan Kumar.

Discussions will be held to decide whether the devotees will be allowed to Srimandir for darshan during President Kovind’s visit on February 19.

As the Covid cases in the State has been declining remarkably, a discussion will also be held regarding the Covid certificate protocol during the visit to Srimandir.

Notably, the security arrangements across Odisha have been beefed up ahead of President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Puri starting from February 19.  As many as 40 platoons of the police force will be deployed for the security arrangements.

He is slated to attend a program of Sri Chaitanya Gaudiya Mutt. The mutt authorities have been instructed not to delay rituals and avoid a lapse in security measures. Later, the President is likely to offer prayer at Lord Jagannath Temple before returning to Delhi.
