Presidential Election: Naveen speaks with Droupadi Murmu, assures of getting every vote from Odisha in her favour

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik today spoke with Droupadi Murmu, the NDA candidate for the upcoming Presidential Election. over the phone and assured her of getting every vote from Odisha in her favour.

“Spoke to Smt Droupadi Murmu ji and wished her all the very best for #PresidentialElection. Her candidature is indeed a proud moment for people of #Odisha. I have reiterated that we will work towards getting every vote from #Odisha, in her favour,” said Patnaik on his Twitter handle while informing about his discussion with Murmu over the phone.

Patnaik had earlier announced BJD’s support for Droupadi Murmu, who belongs to Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district, calling her candidature a proud moment for the people of the State. He also had a telephonic discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  

The Odisha CM was the first leader of any political party to extend support to Droupadi Murmu.
