President inaugurates Shirdi Int’l Airport in Ahmednagar

KovindAhmednagar: President Ramnath Kovind on Sunday inaugurated the Shirdi International Airport in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.

Kovind also flagged off the inaugural flight of Alliance Air from Shirdi to Mumbai.The flight will take around 45 minutes.

Maharashtra Governor CV Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Leader of Opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, MADC Vice-Chairman and MD Suresh Kakani, other senior central and state officials were present on the occasion.

“#PresidentKovind inaugurates Shirdi International Airport & flags off inaugural flight from Shirdi to Mumbai”, wrote the official Twitter handle of the President.

The airport will initially have four flights to Mumbai and one each from Delhi and Hyderabad.

The President will also participate in the inauguration of Centenary celebrations of Samadhi of Shri Saibaba at Shirdi today.
