Bhubaneswar: Lingaraj Temple management has begun its preparations for smooth conduct of annual festival of Lord Shiva, i.e Shivratri on March 4. A review meeting was held on Saturday.
Khurda District Collector Nirmal Chandra Mishra informed that the ritual of raising the ‘Mahadeepa’ will be completed by 10 pm.
With the devotees’ footfall during Shivratri increasing every year, the temple management tries its best to make the best of arrangements. Officials of various departments who have been assigned different tasks have been asked to complete all the pending work by March 1.
