Pradesh Congress Committees to bear rail travel cost of every needy migrant worker: Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi: Interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Monday informed that her party has decided to bear the cost of rail travel for every needy migrant worker who want to return to their respective native villages from the places where they have been stranded due to nation-wide lockdown.

Sonia Gandhi said that each Pradesh Congress Committee shall bear the cost for the rail travel of every needy worker and migrant labourer and shall take necessary steps in this regard.

This will be the Indian National Congress’ humble contribution in service of our compatriots and to stand shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with them, she added.
