Political violence erupts in Odisha’s Balasore district: Watch

Balasore: A clash erupted between two groups in Paunsakuli Bazar area under Singla Police limits in Balasore district of Odisha on Saturday.

It is to be noted that yesterday the second phase of the panchayat polls was held in Basta block. However, today due to some reason political violence erupted between two groups between the supporters of two Sarpanch candidates.

The clash began with verbal spat that later took a violent turn and members of both groups resorted to physical fight. It was seen that people attacked each other with lathi on the road.

Tension is still prevails in the area. After getting information Singla Police reached the spot and pacified the mob.
